/ ACC's Teacher of the Year - 2006Introducing Judy Morningstar, Teacher of the Year for 2006 On May 23, 2006, Judy Morningstar of Goodlands, Manitoba, was awarded the CQA/ACC Teacher of the Year Award at the Annual General Meeting in Ottawa, ON. Bonny Voice of Bradwell, SK and Della Radcliffe of Cardale, MB introduced Judy. Karen Menzies, CQA/ACC Vice President and Chair of the Teacher of the Year Committee presented Judy with her engraved silver plated seam ripper. Judy’s pleasure at receiving this award was clearly demonstrated by her beaming smile as she spoke her thanks. ![]() Judy is well-respected in Canada as a workshop leader who inspires creativity and encourages individuality in her students. In her classes rules are regularly broken, a genuinely liberating approach to quilting. “Nothing to Lose” and “Quilting from the Far Side”, two of her recently taught classes, are good examples of the fun side of Judy Morningstar. Congratulations, Judy. |
