2007 CQA/ACC Trend-Tex Quilter’s Challenge

The Canadian Quilters’ Association/Association canadienne de la courtepointe (CQA/ACC) again extends our sincere appreciation to Trend-Tex Fabrics Inc. for their continuing sponsorship of the Quilters’ Challenge with their generous donation of fabric. To show our appreciation for their ongoing support, the Challenge wallquilt awarded the “Trend-Tex Award” will be donated to Trend-Tex Fabrics Inc.

We would like to thank all the CQA/ACC members who participated, both by purchasing kits and by putting time and talent into making a wallquilt and donating it to CQA/ACC. Your support and participation are essential to the continuing success of the Quilters’ Challenge. We are proud to display your efforts for all to enjoy.

This year’s theme was Why do I Quilt? 107 wallquilts were returned, with 15 selected to be sold through On-line Auction, 12 to be sold in a Live Auction at the Closing Banquet, and the remainder to be sold in the Silent Auction. Congratulations to our members who completed their works and contributed to an outstanding display of colour, style, technique and commitment to the association.

We thank our panel of judges who gave of their expertise and their time to view and select this year’s winners.
