The Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery invites members of the Canadian Quilter’s Association to attend The Grand National quilt exhibition Presented annually by the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery and Joseph Schneider Haus Museum, The Grand National celebrates the beauty and creativity of quilt-making from across Canada, with more than 60 works on display. This year’s theme, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, challenges Canadian quilters to reveal their thoughts on time and its meanings in their lives.Running in conjunction with The Grand National is Janet Morton’s knitted works, Better Homes and Gardens. Morton employs popular craft techniques such as knitting and crocheting on an often massive scale.The public opening for the show is Friday, May 9 from 7-9 p.m. with opening remarks at 7:20 p.m. We hope that you can join us for this opening reception or visit the exhibition from May 9 to July 6.
