Kathleen McGillivray
Celtic Tradition

Being of Celtic heritage the making of this quilt seemed a natural choice. The quilt is in 2 colours. It is hand appliqued and hand quilted. It took her 3 months, working 3 hours a day when the light was at its best.

Joanne Barton
Perseverance

This quilt requires a huge commitment (in time and sanity). The pattern is called Omigosh by the late Sue Garman, which was designed as a twin size. I upsized it to a queen. There are 13,009 pieces in it and I calculated that it took 117 hours to just piece the quilt top- not including cutting time or the time to quilt it.
